Tifway 419 Bermuda

This has been the Industry Standard for over 40 years. Tifway 419 has excellent traffic & drought tolerance. It is fine bladed and has good shoot density and wear tolerance. While there are newer varieties with improved characteristics, Tifway 419 still provides an excellent athletic field playing surface. It is best maintained with a sharp reel mower at .75 in. – 1 in. mowing height and is considered a higher maintenance turf variety.
