Meyer Zoysia

Meyer Zoysia has been the industry standard for 40 years since its release from the Beltsville, MD experiment station. It is a cold hardy, slow growing, medium width blade zoysia that is still very useful around bunker complexes due to its slow growth habit. While there are newer varieties better suited for tees and fairways, Meyer remains an excellent choice for bunker faces due to it’s low maintenance and texture contrast. Meyer Zoysia grows very well in the shade and remains one of the most cold hardy zoysia grasses available.
